Nachteil bei der GPS-Uhr sind, das lediglich die Grüns angezeigt werden, aber nicht die exakte Fahnenposition. Zudem ist man darauf angewiesen, dass der Platz auch vermessen wurde und die Vermessung auch aktuell ist. Auch lassen sich die eigenen Schlaglängen nur auf dem Platz messen, da man ja ungern auf der Range bis zu seinem geschlagenen Ball laufen möchte.
