Der Golfhandschuh an welcher Hand trägt man ihn?
„Als Rechtshänder, der beim Schwung nach rechts ausholt, trägt man den Golfhandschuh links. Linkshänder, die beim Rückschwung nach links ausholen, tragen den Golfhandschuh rechts.“
Grob kann man also sagen, das man den Golfhandschuh an der „schwächeren Hand“ trägt. Da es allerdings z.B. auch Rechtshänder gibt, die nach Links ausholen – wie Phil Mickelson – kann man allgemein sagen: Man trägt den Golfhandschuh auf der Seite, die beim Setup am Ball näher Richtung Ziel ist.
Wozu eigentlich ein Golfhandschuh?
Der Golfhandschuh hat im Prinzip zwei wesentliche Funktionen:
- Der Golfhandschuh schützt die Hand, die beim Golfschwung am stärksten beansprucht wird.
- Der Golfhandschuh erhöht die Haftung des Schlägers in Hand und verhindert so das Abrutschen.
Jeder, der schon mal ein paar Stunden auf der Range ohne Handschuh trainiert hat, versteht, warum ein Handschuh als Schutz für die Hand wichtig ist. Der Schlägergriff ist in der Regel schon recht griffig und raut beim Schlagen die Handflächen auf.
